Can I rent a car with a debit card?
Yes, here's what you need to know when renting with a debit card from Dollar:
- Credit checks will be performed to determine creditworthiness.
- Proof of travel that coincides with the rental dates and 2 forms of ID are required.
- Under 25? No problem. You can rent using a debit card too. Restrictions Apply
- Incidental hold of $500 + cost of the rental will be applied at pickup. (Incidental Hold waived for Dollar Express© members with a VISA in your profile after the first rental)

Can I rent a car for someone else?
No. You cannot rent a car on behalf of someone else at Dollar. The person who booked the rental must be the one to pick up the vehicle. When you arrive to pick up your rental, you'll need to present the same credit or debit card you used online, along with your valid driver's license. The card must be in your name. After showing this, you can use any other valid credit or debit card in your name to cover taxes, fees, and incidentals.
